People are fallible. They make mistakes every day, including while behind the wheel. All it takes is for one person to be careless or reckless while driving. In 2017, there were 23,760 crashes that involved alcohol. These includes 910 fatal DUI crashes, which resulted in 1,024 DUI fatalities. Unfortunately, the driver may not know that their vehicle has a defective part or design. When someone is behind the wheel, they should not be on their phone, eating, doing their hair, reading, or any other activity that takes their attention away from driving. Speed limits are dictated by what is a safe speed for that particular area. Driving faster than this increases the risk of an accident. Yet people do it anyway.
