Unified Arizona Veterans established on the 28th of December, 1981 at the American Legion Post #1 in Phoenix as an initiative led by the American Legion (), the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans departments of Arizona to collectively promote veteran-related affairs endorsed by a majority of its member veterans service organizations throughout Arizona.
